How long have you been in business?
We've been doing business from this location since 1956!
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary product is from the Garden Center and includes any and all gardening products, books and tools. Our Landscape Division is entirely full-service to our clientele, but do not have a maintenance division where we would come out and mow a lawn.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
In the mid-1950's, Robert Snodgrass (founder of 7 Dees Nursery) saw the need to have a one-stop Garden Center for the blossoming east side of Portland. In the 1970's, the company split into two entities... Drake's & Dennis' 7 Dees. Since, Drake's has been dedicated to residential design/build construction.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We try not to get into commercial and maintenance-type work, instead commit our time and efforts into creating the most unique/successful landscape in the Portland Metro area.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently only have the one location... but it is within our business plan to open up a location on the west side of town someday.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept VISA, MC, and Discover cards... as well as the standard cash and personal check.
Which areas do you service?
We service the entire Portland Metro area. We've been out as far as the Oregon Coast and even ventured to Pendleton, OR for a larger landscape project! We travel as far south as Salem/Keizer area. We have many Garden Center clients who visit us from Vancouver as well.

Drake & Lynn Snodgrass - Owners
What are your hours of operation?
The Landscape division is open M-F from 8am to 5pm (Winter hours, we close at 4pm) and the Garden Center is open 7 days a week 9am to 5pm. When the summer months roll around, we stay open a bit later.
