How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The founder, Maureen R. Michelson, established NewSage Press in 1985 after working as a journalist for "Time" magazine and its sister publications. She also was editor of an arts magazine. She decided to start her own book publishing company at a time when independent presses began to flourish. As of 2014, Michelson has nearly 30 years of writing, editing, and publishing experience in a rapidly changing and growing world of books. Along with publishing books for NewSage Press, Michelson also works with individuals developing their own books or publishing companies.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
NewSage Press offers unique and individual book publishing services backed by many years in the business.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
This is not a business that expands to various locations. With today's technologies, it's very easy for us to offer our editing and book publishing services to people worldwide.
