How long have you been in business?
The Society Hotel was founded in 2013. The lovely and beautifully renovated building that our business inhabits is one of the oldest in Portland; built in 1881, it is on the National Register of Historic Places.
What is your primary product or service?
Lodging, accommodations, hospitality. (Hotel, hostel)
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our hotel caters to the budget-minded adventurous traveler who seeks accommodations that embody Portland's culture and values. Our private rooms, private suites and bunks are some of the most affordable in the downtown Portland area. The hybrid business model of being both hotel and hostel appeals to a diverse set of customers. We have an on-site coffee shop and large roof top deck, ideal spaces for our guests to socialize and meet new friends.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in Old Town Chinatown PDX (OTCT) - locally owned and operated by three Portland residents.
