Color and lush paint are tools which bring lasting life to canvas when light touches objects in a dramatic way. Savoring the most lush brush strokes and brightest lights for the area of focus achieves a feeling of duality. That is peaceful quiet and excitement. This is accomplished by using mostly dark tones; several very light tones, and none or few in the middle range.
Margret’s oil paintings are for sale in the form of both lithograph and gicleé prints. We use only the finest archival inks and papers available

Interview Q&A
How long have you been in business?
40 plus years
What is your primary product or service?
Oil paintings created in the traditional style, using the finest Belgian linen, hand ground historical paints/pigments, and techniques set down by the masters.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
From the very beginning of my painting career, I have been captivated by the look and techniques from the 17th century. Over many years I have continued to perfect my style using these methods.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Most artists today use manufactured paints made from modern pigments. My passion is historical pigments that come from natural sources such as rocks, minerals, earth, and organic matter. These pigments are naturally harmonious and pleasing to the eye and senses with little modification.
